August 1937--The Battle of Shanghai(Emporer Hirohito orders and invasion on the Chinese city of Shanghai, starting the second Sino-Japanese war. )
Nobember 11, 1937--Advancing to Nanking(The Japanese successfully take control ofShanghai but, with many casualties. Japanese Army advances towards Nanking. )
December 02, 1937--Nomination ( The Chinese Emperor makes one of his Uncles in charge of the invasion that is going to occur in Nanking.)
December 07, 1937--The Command(The Japanese Emperor issues a command to all troops, advising that,the soldiers who broke the law, dishonored the Japanese Army, stole, or cause a fire to break out, would be severely punished. )
December 09, 1937--The Siege of Nanking(The Japanese army launches a huge invasion on Nanking )
December 12, 1937--Tactival Retreat (The Chinese army decides to retreat to the other side of the Yangtze River. )
December 13, 1937--Breaking through the walls of Nanking(The Japanese 6th and 16th divisions arrive and break through the city walls. The army faces hardly and opposing military forces. Two Japanese naval fleets arrive and block the paths of around 50,000 Chinese citizens trying to escape. All of the Chinese citizens were all killed. Japanese forces open fired and killed around 100,000 Chinese men and women that were left behind running for cover.)
December 14, 1937--Searching the City(Japanese forces search the city for Chinese soldiers and when they were found they were held captive, tortured, and killed.)
December 16, 1937--The Rape of Nanking(All the women were gathered in the center of the city, raped, and then killed. )
December 17, 1937--The-Thousand-Corpse Ditch(The Japanese army gathered everybody else and lined them up along the Yangtze River and machine gunned all of them down.)
January 17, 1938--Japanese-American Embassy(The Japanese Embassy in America finds out about what was going on in Nanking. )
Fevruary 1938--Burying of the Bodies(The Japanese army starts to bury all the bodies. )
